We purchased a renovated home that had a loft. Given the property was originally one larger unit when the seller acquired and was later divided into 2 units when renovated, there are specific floor to ceiling height limitations regarding the loft that may not be exceeded until the property's cadastral (legal) records are updated to reflect this.
The interesting part, is that the municipality does not permit exceeding the floor to ceiling height limit for 5 years post property division. Without listing all of the details, I will tell you that without Alessandro, we may have stepped into a real legal issue as the loft floor to ceiling height was illegal until Alessandro identified this in the property records and required the seller to correct prior to closing.
